Refurbishment taking into account German industrial history

Once again, innovation finds its way into the former Scout site.

The Scout site was to be demolished and replaced by new buildings. Although it is not a building under a perseveration order, the site with its production halls and administration building embodies living German industrial history. Hardly any child from the 70s to 90s was not equipped with a Scout lightweight school bag.

To preserve this history, the site was put to a new use without demolition. The former production halls are now used for the distribution of components for electromobility and the former Scout administration building is being given a second life as a co-working space. As a result, innovation is once again finding its way into the industrial complex.
